叫我农夫！好吧，我也许不是一名农夫，但在家乡，父母的绿手指种了果实累累的果树、吃也吃不完的蔬菜和各种香料。看他们播种至收割，感觉真美好。
现在呢，“农夫”的孩子我也在小小阳台种起花卉、蔬菜。把一个空荡荡的阳台变成可收割食用植物和绽放赏心悦目花朵的小农地和小花园，需要爱心浇灌、细心呵护。养花种菜怎么能让人不热衷！
配合新加坡国家公园管理局推行的“Gardening with Edibles”计划，这就与大家分享我在小小阳台种植至收成的一系列蔬菜吧！今天的主角是最容易种的：葱！
Call me farmer! Okay, I may not be a farmer, but at my hometown, my parents grow so many edible plants including fruit trees, vegetables and herbs. Seeing them from sowing to harvesting, it is so rewarding.
Now, I am growing my own vegetables and herbs in slivers of balcony space. To turn a small balcony into a little thriving farm and blooming garden, it takes a tenacity of spirit to ensure the specimens are growing well. It became a passion for me.
To support the Gardening with Edibles programme launched by Singapore National Parks Board （NParks）, I wish to share my experience in growing my own food. Among all, green onions is one of the easiest vegetables to grow in pots.
1. 每周收成一把葱 Weekly harvest - the Green onion
种葱太简单。不必拥有绿手指，也可以轻松种出一把把葱。超市买回的红葱头（大葱也可以），把头去掉后，埋进泥土里。

1. 每周收成一把葱 Weekly harvest - the Green onion
种葱太简单。不必拥有绿手指，也可以轻松种出一把把葱。超市买回的红葱头（大葱也可以），把头去掉后，埋进泥土里。
间距10cm左右，浇少许水，放在有日晒的地方。一至两周内，小小芽儿就探出头来，再过一至两周，就可以收成了！收割时，记得保留一小部份青葱，它还会再长三至四次葱儿。新鲜收割的葱香气浓郁，切成葱花微呛，撒在面条、沙拉、汤品、蒸蛋上，味蕾再也忍受不住。请慢用。
The green onion is commonly used as herbs. It can make a garnish over salads, steamed eggs, broth or noodles. Simply purchase the onions from supermarket, chop off the bottom of onions and plant them in soil. Space them around 10 cm apart. After 1 to 2 weeks, it will sprout. Keep the soil moist but not wet. Wait for 1 to 2 weeks, you could harvest them. When cutting the green onions, save the bottom 5cm from top of the soil. They could continue supplying us with green onions for 3 or 4 times. Freshly harvested green onions has much stronger aroma. I feel really rewarded.

Does gardening in balcony space needs a lot of kits? Two basic essential tools are a pair of pruning shears (or simply a pair of scissors) and a piece of hand trowel. Scissors is use to deadhead flowers and harvest veggies. Hand trowel is perfect for planting, getting bulbs in at the right depth and scooping compost.
