新加坡美食:面包物语的肉松面包和California raisin(BreadTalk Singapore's Pork Floss Bun and California Raisin)

以前在新加坡上班,下班后,最喜欢到BreakTalk买肉松面包(Floss)。这家面包店的肉松面包,面包不带臭臭的肉味,肉松也不会硬邦邦的,口感和调味都刚刚好。尤其带有辣味的肉松面包(Fire Floss),满满、厚厚的肉松贴在涂抹上甜甜egg cream的松软面包上,一口一口尝起来真幸福。
近年回到狮城生活,这类精致的面包店,早已开得到处是,各种品牌,各家分店,面包品样式也多元。回到BreadTalk,除了肉松面包(现价$2.10一个),也找到另外一款吸引我的烘焙品,是California raisin(加州葡萄海绵蛋糕)。很松很软的蛋糕体,里头夹着厚厚的奶油,奶油中,夹满了葡萄干。送入口中,眉眼都会微笑!为品尝那简朴快乐的美味,得冒着变成肥婆的风险呢。

Many years ago, when I worked in Singapore, the product that I often bought from BreadTalk after got off work was the Floss bun. It was simply delicious. The savoury pork floss was gently pat atop a soft bun coated with signature egg cream. The bun had a thick coating of egg cream and pork floss. I liked the Spicy floss bun too. It was a bit more heat.
When i returned to Singapore recent years, BreadTalk kind of bakery has been a common trend, with various bakery brands in the city selling diversified buns. Back to BreadTalk, in addition to the floss bread (currently costs $2.10 each), I found another appealing product, the mouth-watering California raisin (California grape sponge cake). The cake texture is soft and fluffy. The thick and creamy filling is not too sickly sweet with raisins give it a flavor punch. It is perfect for a teatime treat. Every bite of it, my eyebrows and eyes are smiling! In order to taste this simple and happy delicacy, it may lead to obesity.
